Terms of Service – Smedbo

Smedbo is a brand operated by Smedbo AB (Reg. no. 556200-2252), with its registered address at Grustagsgatan 1b, 254 64 Helsingborg, Sweden. These terms apply to all purchases made on our official websites. By placing an order, you accept and agree to these terms.

1. General
These terms apply to private consumers shopping in our online stores across Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands. We reserve the right to adjust prices, stock availability, and terms without prior notice.

2. Pricing, Taxes & Currency
All prices are shown in the local currency of the selected market: Sweden: SEK (25% VAT) | Denmark: DKK (25% VAT) | Finland: EUR (25.5% VAT) | Netherlands: EUR (21% VAT). Prices include VAT but exclude shipping fees (if applicable). The total order amount including delivery is shown before purchase confirmation. We retain ownership of all goods until full payment is received.

3. Payment Methods
We use secure payment solutions via Shopify Payments and trusted local providers. Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Klarna Pay Later and Klarna Invoice (available in SE, DK, FI, NL), MobilePay (available in Denmark), and iDeal (available in the Netherlands). Payments made through Klarna or iDeal are governed by their respective user agreements. When paying by card, 3D Secure authentication may be required. We reserve the right to restrict available payment methods for specific orders.

4. Orders
An order becomes binding when you receive an order confirmation by email following a successful checkout. However, the confirmation does not guarantee product availability. If a product is no longer available, we will inform you as soon as possible and issue a full refund for any unavailable items. We reserve the right to cancel or adjust orders in case of stock discrepancies, pricing errors, or technical issues. If you wish to cancel an order, contact our customer service immediately. If the order has already been dispatched, cancellation is no longer possible, and you are obliged to receive the goods. If you still wish to withdraw from your purchase after receiving the goods, the regular right of withdrawal and return procedures described in these Terms apply.

5. Shipping & Delivery
We offer delivery to Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands. Shipping options are presented at checkout and vary depending on market. We use trusted partners such as PostNord, Budbee, Instabox, Schenker, and DHL, depending on availability and destination. Estimated delivery times: Sweden: 1–3 business days | Denmark: 2–4 business days | Finland: 2–5 business days | Netherlands: 2–5 business days. High demand periods may cause minor delivery delays. Unclaimed package handling fees: 250 SEK (Sweden), 250 DKK (Denmark), 25 EUR (Finland and Netherlands).

Shipping Errors
If you receive an item you did not order, please contact our customer service promptly for return instructions. Incorrectly delivered items must not be installed or used, as this will be deemed acceptance of the delivery.

Transport Damage
If your order arrives damaged, report the issue immediately to the delivery provider and our customer service. Visible damage should be reported upon receipt, and hidden damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

Partial Deliveries
We do not ship partial deliveries. If any item in your order cannot be delivered, the item will be cancelled, and you will be refunded for that product.

6. Right of Withdrawal (60 Days)
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 60 days of receiving your order, without stating any reason. The withdrawal period begins on the day you receive the final item from your order. To exercise your right of withdrawal, the item must be unused and in its original condition. You may carefully open the packaging to inspect the product. However, if the item or its packaging is returned damaged or has been handled beyond what is necessary to assess it, we reserve the right to deduct an amount from the refund corresponding to the reduction in value. If you withdraw from your purchase, we will refund the full purchase amount minus the original shipping cost and the return shipping cost—even if free shipping was offered at the time of purchase. Returns must be sent using the same carrier used for delivery. This right of withdrawal applies in addition to any statutory consumer rights applicable in your country.

7. Returns & Complaints
We offer a 10-year warranty on all products, except for electric towel warmers and pedal bins, which have a 5-year warranty.
To initiate a return or complaint, please contact us via our contact form and provide your order number. If applicable, include photos of the issue. Returned items must be unused and properly packaged to avoid damage during transit. If the returned item is not in acceptable condition, we reserve the right to decline the return or deduct compensation for diminished value. We comply with applicable consumer protection laws in each market. Before returning a faulty product, you must first contact our support team for approval and assistance. Once approved, we will issue a prepaid return label. Please describe the issue clearly and attach photo documentation if possible. The warranty covers both visible and hidden manufacturing defects but does not apply to damage caused by improper installation, accidents, or misuse. If the defect is confirmed to be a production error, we will either repair the product or provide a replacement. In approved cases, we will also cover return shipping costs. Note: For complaints concerning products that have been installed by a third-party contractor, only the product will be reimbursed. Installation costs are not covered. Repair or replacement does not restart or extend the warranty period.

8. Force Majeure & Liability
We are not liable for delays or damages caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or government regulations. Delivery times may also be extended during periods of unusually high order volume.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by the applicable laws of the country in which your purchase was made. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved directly between the parties, consumers may refer the matter to their local consumer protection authority or use the EU’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The current version is always available on our website. The terms in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to that order. By completing a purchase, you confirm your acceptance of the applicable terms.
