Lifetime Limited Consumer Warranty

PRODUCT WARRANTY Smedbo products are manufactured and tested to the highest quality standards. All Smedbo bath accessory products are warranted to the original consumer purchaser to be free from tarnishing and defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original consumer owns the home in which the products are installed. The Smedbo Lifetime Limited Consumer Warranty applies to all finishes in the following lines: Cabin, Chateau, Club, Igloo, Loft, Moon, Outline, Resort, Studio and Villa. The following Smedbo items carry a 5 Year Warranty to be free from tarnishing and defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original consumer owns the home in which the products are installed: Knobs Hooks Drawer Handles House & Mailbox Numbers Door Knockers Bell Pushes WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: This warranty does not cover installation or any other labor charges associated with the repair or reinstallation of Smedbo products. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, fire, Acts of God, alterations, misuse, abuse, improper installation, hard water, exposure to corrosive materials, or use in any manner contrary to the printed instructions. Installation compounds are harmful to brass and metal finishes. The use of any lead based acidic curing adhesive, silicone, mastic, or plumber's putty on or near Smedbo brass products will void the finish warranty. If sealants are required, use sealants that are neutral curing and are not reactive with metal and brass finishes. Smedbo will repair or replace, at its option, free of charge during the warranty period, any part which proves to be defective. If Smedbo is unable to provide a replacement and repair is not practical or cannot be made in a timely manner, Smedbo will refund the purchase price in exchange for return of the product. This warranty only covers defective parts and finishes. Labor charges and/or damage incurred in the installation, removal, repair or replacement as well as any other kind of loss or damage is excluded. This warranty is extended in lieu of all other expressed or implied warranties, whether oral or written. Smedbo does not make any other warranty of any kind, including the implied warranty of merchantability. This warranty excludes all industrial, commercial and business usage, whose purchases are extended a commercial warranty on a per project basis (contact your local Smedbo dealer for details). Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of the incidental or consequential damages, so the abuse limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state. Unless otherwise contrary to state law governing the purchase, Smedbo liability will not exceed the contract price for the product claimed to be defective or unsuitable and is applicable only to products purchased through Smedbo, and installed in the United States or Canada.
